Feeling full of yourself? Have some delusions on how right you are? Here's an idea, offer up a 100 dollars for someone to prove you wrong. That's what Ailan Hong of Long Beach, California decided to do on the page of politician Dr. Pan regarding vaccines. Let's line this up.
First of all, what he was on about. In a method of attacking Dr. Pan he accused Pan of lying about reports of Dr. Robert Sears being disciplined by the California Medical board. That would be THIS case (click on link). He posts a letter from Dr. Sears claiming that there is no discipline against him like this:
Then he posts to me that if I can prove there is disciplinary action he'll give me 100 bucks like so:
Well, I certainly pulled that off via the link above and another .gov link leading to THIS. There is even a witness to my success who I block out for her own security.
I know, you'll point out I said I didn't need his money, but that doesn't mean he doesn't owe it. Currently he's dancing around the subject and cherry picking flimsy rebuttals as anti-vaxxers are known to do. I know I'm very unlikely to get paid here, but I'm not letting it go simply because Ailan deserves to be held to task. And I'm not the only person who thinks so via another witness as follows.
Point out what... you mean like this?:
So, Ailan Hong owes me 100 dollars because I proved exactly what he asked me to prove, that Dr. Sears was accused of the exact wrong doing claimed in the exact manner requested. An Anti-vaxxer owes me 100 dollars and he's not upstanding enough to his own word to pay it. Typical anti-vaxxer.

Anti Vaxxer who runs a massage business, fat shames and diagnoses me online because she's calling shots
It's no secret that I'm not nice to anti-vaxxers. Especially one who is on the page of Dr. Richard Pan (politician doing what he can for vaccines) calling people EVIL in all caps. Hit the link and check out the page and comments. There is a constant war for representation of information about vaccines. Anti-vaxxers push the mark. One even went after a woman's children in her profile pic but that's a different story. So let's get started with my assessment of how this woman represents her business. First:
Click for closer view. Toni owns Tranquil Touch Therapeutic Massage and Esthetics. It's listed on her personal page an there is a Facebook page for it HERE. The gif you see is of a man gagging. If you go into Facebook gifs and type in the word 'gagging' it was the first that came up. Now to explain the discussion it went like this. She posted some anti vaccine information that was blatantly untrue and inaccurate. I posted that it was no more accurate than calling her a pro disease psychopath. The image is her response.
Now fat shaming is wrong. Fat shaming by a business that claims to help people is unacceptable. I contacted her via her business page and offered to write a review. I wanted a public apology both to teach her a lesson for her online behavior in fat shaming and diagnosing online without credentials AND spreading anti vaccine misinformation. But she is the only one who brought up her vaccine position as a defense for her actions. My problem here is soley that she pulled fat shaming. Anti vaccine crap is just where it came from.
Her apology:

But she is the only one who brought up her vaccine position as a defense for her actions. My problem here is soley that she pulled fat shaming. Anti vaccine crap is just where it came from.
Her apology:
Frankly, not only is it a non apology but downright confusing. At first I thought she was trying to defend diagnosing me via a time she couldn't walk or use her arms. Then I figured out she was defending her vaccine position again. Bypassing her behavior altogether. Then she proceeded to tell me my medical history in which she is 100% incorrect. She still doesn't get that she has no place putting her nose in my medical history. What is she using, a crystal ball? It's broken.
I have to wonder at people who come to her for help with their problems and are also over weight. Does she consider them a disease too? She is not a medical doctor, nor does she have an MD in anything at all. But if you are going to run a business that claims to care for the health of others, especially the way her page presents, you better treat people with the decency you expect. That goes moreso than for the average people you talk to on the internet. She presents with a built in responsibility that she failed. And I always call that out.
Like her doing the snipe and block on my page. She quotes me, supporting my above explanation and the blocks me. Very professional.
So I have to say that if I were near her business (and my sister works in a massage parlor business and was licensed in the state of Colorado) I would not go to her. I would not like the idea that she fat shames people she doesn't like. That doesn't deserve my money and I feel bad for anyone with the slightest weight problem who sees her. OH, and my sisters kids all have their shots.
As for vaccines. It's a serious problem with national outbreaks heading for 1000 cases fast. That's the threshold by statistics where you can expect someone to die. You can also expect permanent damage to some such as hearing and vision loss or encephalitis. Natural measles can erase the immune systems defenses. And for anyone who says vaccines caused the outbreaks (and they do) I point out that since 2006, 3 billion MMR vaccines have been administered in the US. If it went like anti-vaxxers believe, there would be more than 1000 cases per year, closer to multi millions of cases, but as you know, that's not true.
So if you are in Doylestown, PA and considering seeing a massage therapist, I wouldn't advise going there.

I'm begging you not to vote for Trump
I implore you, beg you, to consider what I have to say. If Trump becomes President, our country is screwed in so many ways, it may not come back for several generations. If you can look at what I'm pointing out here and just don't care, then I don't know what to say. But, at this point, know that ANY Republican is better than Trump and I'm not even voting Republican.
First, I want you to know that this information is genuine and you can fact check it for yourself HERE. That's a link to Ontheissues.org and you can see ALL the politicians stances on all 24 of the listed issues. I'm going to hit the major highlights of Trumps points.
He wants to defund Planned Parenthood. While I realize that this is a major split issue. Destroying PP will do more harm than good. PP has been a crucial ally in sex education that too many parents refuse to do themselves. That sex education includes an important factor, namely protection from STD's and learning to use contraceptives. And contraceptives are NOT just about avoiding pregnancy. Some women need to them for other additional health problems attached to the reproductive system. Arbitrarily throwing away Planned Parenthood is a bad move and not the answer. But if this isn't enough for you, maybe...
He wants to cut (as in close) the Department of Education and cut funding to education across the country, quote "way down". I don't care how you try to spin it; you can't make our country "great again" by destroying education programs. Aren't our schools in enough trouble? Aren't they overcrowded enough? I don't know about you, but I don't want my granddaughter to have to struggle through Trump's idea of school. Cutting education is radical, irrational and irresponsible. Currently, the Unites States is 14th in Education and 2nd in Ignorance. With Trump's help, I'm sure we can be the most ignorant country in World History. Doesn't that sound great? Is that what making our country "great again" means to you? It clearly does to him.
He wants to close the Environmental Protection Agency. Well of course he does! He's a corporate businessman. They hate the EPA. Remember the big oil spill in the gulf that's still ruining people's lives? If it weren't for the EPA, there would be no clean up effort. So shutting them down sounds like a good plan right?
He wants to take on China, Mexico and North Korea all at the same time. It's all in the link above. Go look. Basically, he's just going to walk up to these three and tell them how the sun goes down. He'll "force" China to come to terms on job market and trade, "make" Mexico pay for a wall around their border, and "go after" North Korea on their nukes. There's a term for this; WORLD WAR THREE. He's already given the bird to the UN over the refugees he plans to kick out as his first order of business. So here's what will happen. NK will immediately attack SK and blame us for it. We'll be in a trade war with Mexico and China will back them BOTH. I wonder how much THAT will cost? He's already got all three riled up with his insults he hurls at them in every single rally he holds. Half the world is now on edge over Trump and he's not even in full running yet.
Don't believe that? Who else is he fighting with before he even gets to the final race? Well, all Muslims so far. He wants a database on all of them. Wants to kick out ever single illegal immigrant there is. Neither will be cheap and at least one is unconstitutional. He wants to establish illegal torture methods (waterboarding), and you don't see that as a red flag? For the first time in US history, the very declaration of making someone President of the United States may be a DECLARATION OF WAR. Please ask yourself if that's what you really want. But there's more...
He supports the idea that vaccines cause autism. For any of you who know me, you know how I feel about this. VACCINES DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM. There are now over a hundred studies that show zero correlation between vaccines and autism. Vaccine injury is NOT autism. The anti-vaccine movement has already caused enough damage without the help of a President behind them. Vaccines save lives from preventable potentially crippling and deadly diseases. Please think about it.
It's punchline time. For those of you who use your Bibles to influence your voting decisions, I'd like to give you a reminder. In your Bible you will find mention of one who comes with great promises of plenty, yet yields only war, poverty, and disease. Now reread his own claims and tell me who that sounds like to you.

Sherri Tenpenny stirs media firestorm in Australia
Sherri Tenpenny is understandably frustrated. She's due to visit Australia in February and March with intentions on doing some public speaking on the evils of vaccines. Unfortunately for her, she's having a hard time finding a venue for her little show. The reason for this is substantial public outcry that's making local businesses think twice before accepting Tenpenny's "Get rid of SIDS" production. But, if she's so renowned, why is she having so much trouble?
The first thing she and her "company" did wrong was to mis-represent themselves. "Get rid of SIDS" is nothing but a platform for "Get rid of vaccines". Her opponents in Australia and more than one of the venues she wanted, thought her attempt seemed hoakie and dishonest in its presentation. In my opinion, Dr. Tenpenny knew exactly what the public response would be if she called it what it really was. So she veiled it and tried to pass it off as something else. No one likes underhandedness. That got the fire started.
Now her followers are hopping mad and making things worse for her. They recently compared the opposition to Tenpenny to the terrorists who killed 12 people in France this week. Does that sound like the rationale of people you'd want to let into your country? There is currently a process of decision regarding revoking Tenpenny's visa. Behavior of this kind will likely become a determining factor. Of course, causing civil unrest is a major factor already.
Before that, her followers started calling out "FREEDOM OF SPEECH!" in their demands to let her into Australia. Uh, Australia has no such amendment in their constitution. Besides that, it's their country and they can decide who gets to come in any way they damn well want. Freedom of speech is not a magic weapon that gives you access to any door you want to crash through. This is especially true when it comes to entering someone else's country. Freedom of speech, does not protect you from public backlash of what you represent. Just another area of distasteful behavior on the anti-vax side that is going to affect the decision making process.
The very fact that Tenpenny wants to go there and charge people 200 bucks a head to listen to her flap her lips about getting rid of vaccines in the guise of preventing SIDS has a moral majority of people really pissed off over there. Yes, she charges 200 dollars per person to attend her "seminar". Interestingly enough, that's the cost of a lifetime of vaccines (not including flu). But, as anti-vaxxers often say, it's all about money.
There is one more bit that's just plain sneaky. Word has it that Tenpenny is applying for a vacationing visa when she needs a business visa. If that's true she could face criminal charges in Australia. But I think getting revoked is the more likely response.
So let's add this up. Unprofessional sneakiness + rabid irrational followers+ causing civil unrest before even getting there= NO you can't come into our country. Pretty simple.

10 Reasons to stop being anti-vaccine.
Recently I was shown this brain denting article from Natural News. It's titled Ten reasons why you shouldn't vaccinate your children. Today I'm going to tear this apart and the page right along with it. I'm going to show you why the major companies backing the anti-vaccine movement are less trustworthy than Jack the Ripper. The logic is undeniable and the proof is right on the page itself. The link I posted will open a new window, so feel free to read back and forth for the comparisons. I will post what they said in their headers to make it a bit easier to follow.
Their number 1: Vaccines don't work.
Mine: VACCINES DO WORK! And decades of study and history prove it. Note that they only "evidence" they provide to back their claim is a book published by some "doctor". No peer reviewed studies are posted as evidence. Nothing to show or prove that everyone with vaccines and only people with vaccines ever get sick. Try to think about the logic in that for just a second. But then why are vaccinated people getting these diseases? Well, it's basically like this:
-Those immunizations you got as a child are not guaranteed for the rest of your life. Your immunity will wane with age.
-That's why it's important for each generation to continue getting vaccinated to help prevent the spread of these diseases to people who shouldn't have to get multiple "once in a life time shots". It's not just to protect yourself, but the very young and old and those who cannot have the shots for other reasons. I call it the chain of immunity.
-Thanks to the anti-vaccine movement, the chain has been broken. THAT is why where are outbreaks.
Their number 2: Vaccines have never been proven safe or effective.
Mine: Vaccines have been proven safe in 99,9% of persons immunized. Here's a LINK for you. It's to the CISA ( the Clinical Immunization Safety Assessment) Project. Established in 2001 (14 freaking years ago). Their job is to continuously study the safety of all our vaccines along with 7 individual research laboratories (to prevent any bias). As for the word "effective" up there; it's just a regurgitation of their number 1 because they just want you to believe the lie. But what about vaccine injury? First, be careful when it comes to believing the exaggerated numbers given by the AVM. They want you to believe the worlds ditches are just overflowing with bodies. Not true. You can find out which were found to be vaccine injuries and which weren't through VAERS. As it turns out, true vaccine injury happens in that .01% of people missing from the number above. Sadly, that cannot be prevented and I'll tell you why:
It's basic reality. It is impossible to prevent all possibility of injury in anything. I don't care what you name, there's always a possibility of injury at least at the same as vaccines. Always. You actually have far higher possibility of having a car accident or just tripping and cracking your head open. That doesn't mean that the CDC smugly finds injury acceptable; they are constantly testing for ways to improve. In the mean time, the minute possibility of vaccine injury with an even more minute possibility of actually killing you, is still far better than your chances with the diseases they are preventing.
Their number 3: The first vaccine was a complete failure, which the industry tried to cover up.
Mine: They use outdated information or outright lies. Please name a process or invention that worked perfectly on the very first try. Go ahead, I'll wait. You have a better chance of finding a unicorn making love to a dragon in your backyard than ever finding that. It's not secret that in the 1600's, 1700's and even some of the 1800's quackery was the way to go in major ways and science hadn't developed perfectly. Nothing does. But, what did our government do when they discovered the toxicity of lead? That's right; everything they could to get it out of paint and off kids toys. Sounds like a government that wants us all dead right? How about the discovery of asbestos related cancers? Banned asbestos. Arsenic in wall papers or household items? Banned arsenic. Yep, our government just wants to control us by culling us out (no they don't). But the AVM wants you to believe this is the truth. They want to you look at the past and accept it as the norm of today. Don't you think that's just a little ridiculous? Does anything work the way it worked back then? Anything? No.
Their number 4: Vaccines are highly profitable for drug companies, which aren't held liable for damages.
Mine: The alternative health industry makes more money than vaccines could ever dream of doing. I actually love it when an AVer tells me this one. My response: "Yeah because no company should ever be paid for their products." Think about it. Funny how the AVer in questions usually shuts up after that or totally changes their approach to something else. But it gets even better. Take a look at this.

My response: "Yeah because no company should ever be paid for their products." Think about it. Funny how the AVer in questions usually shuts up after that or totally changes their approach to something else. But it gets even better. Take a look at this.
That's a screen grab from this very article on Natural News. I want you to look at it closely. Care to guess how many adds for "alternative health" I found down the side of this page? I counted 27 ads. Now, let's make a little comparison. How many doctor visits will your child have to get their childhood immunizations? About 5. We'll even add flu shots for fun, those are once a year. Alternative health wants you to pay for their products by at least the month. How much are you paying for your health supplements every month? But look! You can get a cooker to make your own colloidal silver for about 500 bucks! You can get it by the bottle for 50 bucks each! Cure cancer at home for 5.15 a day (about 152 bucks a month)! And that's just a few examples on this page alone. So, uh, who's making the money again? It's not vaccines at this rate.
A lifetime worth of general immunizations (not counting flu shots): Est: $200.
A year of colloidal silver from the website found: $600. (It's estimated so don't get your undies in a bunch).
Their number 5: All vaccines contain deadly chemical additives.
Mine: They want you to believe everyone is dead or dying and only from vaccines. I've said it before and I'll say it again; if vaccines were as deadly as the AVM would like us to believe, there would be no way to hide all the bodies. By their bizarre mathematics (demonstrated in number 4) at least one third of our population should be flat dead right now. But they aren't. And it gets better. They want you to think there are things in vaccines that are either a lie or already to minuscule to do anything to you. And they want to think those things are going to kill you dead. But they won't. Anything that actually is in our vaccines is already in the world around you by leaps and bounds more than a vaccine could ever hit you with. And then there's their argument to this that states:
When injected, items will bypass natural immunity filters and damage the body. This is mostly versus the flu vaccine but it's against all of them. Never mind that there is an inhaled flu vaccine now; but whoever is spouting this at you has no idea how the immune system actually works. It's all quackery to get you to buy your next month of supplements. This idea completely ignores the fact of how many diseases can go through bodily fluid contact, say via an open sore on your arm. And then there's all the diseases people could get from dirty water (but ingesting has natural filters!) like diptheria. Start looking up these diseases and how they actually get into your body and you'll see this is one of the stupidest arguments in the universe.
Their number 6: Unvaccinated children are generally healthier.
Mine: Unvaccinate children who get preventable diseases can be crippled for life or killed. The AVM wants you to believe that chicken pox, diptheria, measles, and other diseases are either nothing to worry about or don't exist. They want you to think the history of children in iron lungs is a fairy tale. Or that kids were never crippled by polio. They want you to think that you can't be choked to death by diptheria or given open bleeding lesions. They spout "go do your research on vaccines" but they don't tell you to go do your research on the diseases they prevent. Could that be because the diseases are actually 10x scarier than they pretend vaccines are? I wonder.
Their number 7: Vaccines cause lifelong incurable diseases in some children.
Mine: Refer to number 6 and 2. See how they repeat themselves in a supposed 10 list when they have nothing else to add? See how they just reword the same thing over and over again? Don't you find that questionable? We've already established the significance of vaccine injury, but they go even further to put autism back on the table. Currently there are 107 studies that have found no link between autism and vaccines. Vaccines do not cause autism. You can find a comprehensive list of all theses studies HERE. As for Guillian Barre, educate yourself on it HERE.
Their number 8: Vaccines kill children and adults.
Mine: Refer to 6, 5 and 2: I'm still going just to show you that I only needed to give you 6 reasons not to be anti-vaccine. But they have to scare you and scare you good. The more times they say die in their list, the more they drive that word into your brain. That way you'll buy their supplements to protect you. Have people ever died? Yes, but seriously, that's a .01% of the .01%. You have better chances of winning the lottery and being struck by lightning in the same week. Yes, that's an exaggeration, just like what the AVM uses to make you think you're going to die and that everyone else is already dead. One day, as a fact o life, you will die. You may choke on your ice cream cone for all anyone knows. Yet, the idea is that there are some things you don't have to die from. They're preventable. Think about it.
Their number 9: Vaccine companies can't be sued if your child is harmed by vaccines.
Mine: There is a compensation fund for a reason, refer to 4 and 2. Thanks to the insane mania that the AVM has become, if the companies didn't have some extra legal protection, the frivolous lawsuits would be at the highest rates in world history. They would cost both family and company billions in legal fees. The compensation fund is there to make sure that families with actual vaccine injury get something without having to go to court for it. Court cases are also known for taking months to years and the time would cost families and company even more. The compensation fund bypasses that too. It's an insurance policy and not a reason to believe that vaccines are wrong. Remember, I showed you above who is really making money off of this.
Their number 10: Natural exposure to the disease is the best vaccine.
Mine: They want you to play Russian Roulette with diseases. Diseases that can mean time off work for days to weeks. Diseases that can cripple your child, blind them, or even kill them. Yep, I used the "die" method too. The difference is that documented deaths from these diseases outnumber vaccine deaths in the hundreds to one. LINK: There were 32 deaths related to the HPV vaccine from 2006 to 2008. The deaths were reviewed and none of them could be linked to the vaccine. But just to play with that number for a second and consider that millions of people every year contract some form of HPV. HPV can cause cancer of the genitals, anus and throat. Sound fun? Here's a LINK about HPV.
So. I hope you think about it. I hope you learn about the diseases and see just what nasty demons they are. We don't need them roaming free. I know what some of the excuses will be:
"I don't trust the CDC or FDA."
But you trust people that aren't being watched by anyone? Note on your health supplements where it says, "not evaluated by the FDA". You think that vaccine makers are protected from scrutiny? You don't know the half of it. Try to sue if one of their supplements hurts you. Just try. You'll discover that you took them at your own risk and it says so right on the bottle. That means there's NO law to protect you; NO compensation fund, and NO ONE looking over their shoulder. But you'll trust them over your peer reviewed doctors? People who were turned blue by colloidal silver had no legal recourse to sue. So good luck with that.

The Church of Anti-Vaccine
Thanks to the pure abuse of scripture, thousands of idiots are exempting their children from vaccines. I wondered just how there could be anything in the bible that applies to vaccines, but then I underestimated the sheer power of crazy. Here they are:
I Corithians 6: 19-20, “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? …Therefore honor God with your body.”
II Corinthians 7:1, “…let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
So, essentially, they take their unproven ideas that vaccines are somehow malevolent poisons and apply them to these scriptures. Then they put it all into a tidy little letter to the schools or whoever and get themselves exempted. This is just one reason that 45% of Michigan residents are living in areas of high risk for outbreaks. Just check out THIS article on the matter. OH, and they're actually HAVING outbreaks and NO the sick people aren't vaccinated.
This got me thinking. Just how do you make anti-vaccine belief into a religion? What would the requirements be? Well, wonder no more. If you want to be part of the Church of Andrew Wakefield, here's all you have to do!
1: As the name suggests, you must worship Andrew Wakefield. Tell everyone else it's about God, but you really pray to Andrew because he's the guy!
2: Dismiss science as fakery unless it comes from Andrew Wakefield. Because only those who follow Andrew know real science.
3: The official prayer is not putting your hands together; rather it's putting your fingers in your ears and shouting "LALALALALALALALA".
4: Believe that shaken baby syndrome is really because of vaccines. The broken bones occur because vaccines let the demons in and they fly the baby around the room.
5: If injured you must bathe in colloidal silver. Never go to the doctor unless they are vetted and accepted by Andrew Wakefield. So just stuff your guts back in your stomach. Natural healing is always better.
6: You must have two shrines to Andrew Wakefield in your home. One must be in the living room and one in the bedroom (wink wink).
7: Thou shalt embellish and exaggerate everything in support of condemning vaccines. If it sounds like facts it's good enough.
8: If someone comes close to proving you wrong you must go into a rage and accuse them of being government shills. They probably are anyway.
9: You must know the 28 studies that support Andrew Wakefield. You must frame them, put them on your wall, and recite them every day.
10: You must learn cherry picking. It's okay to accept information that seems like it supports your beliefs, even if that information comes from someone you condemn on all else. By the way, the annual cherry picking contest is every spring.
11: Forget the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, we like Andrew, Mother Nature, and the CDC Whistleblower.
12: No matter what, the possibilities of death and blindness are way better than ever having autism. Same goes for becoming a vegetable.
I think that's a pretty good start for the church and hey, freedom of religion right?

Autism is not a reason to murder children
I figured there were enough people talking about this already, but the media is making this look like a trend and it has to stop!
London McCabe's mother, pressured by taking care of her disable husband and a six year old non-verbal with autism, threw him off a damn bridge. Then she called the police and turned herself in claiming voices told her to do it. It's debatable that she's been at the snapping limit for some time from snippets of her blog still floating around. She even had people sending donations to help her. I'm sure they just weren't enough. All the same, I'm not buying that she had any good reason kill her child. Why not call the police and tell them she's at the bridge and ABOUT to kill him? Maybe then he wouldn't be dead. Yes, it would be traumatic, but even as an autistic myself, I say that's better than dead. I have no compassion for this woman for the death of her child who was seen as pretty well behaved by witnesses. Anyway....
Katie McCarron's case is a bit older by way of 2006. Her mother smothered her with a plastic bag. Katie had autism. The woman is currently incarcerated. I can only hope her child's memory haunts her every day as it should with anyone who kills their own child. Her mother Karen cited guilt over vaccinating her child, and blamed vaccines for her desire to commit murder. This is just one more reason why "anti-vaccine thinking" will never gain ground with me. They'd rather see children dead than with autism. Regardless, it doesn't end there.
Jude Mirra, murdered by his mother in 2014 by lethal dose of drugs because he has autism. 8 years old. She also tried to kill herself but failed. Depression is no laughing matter and I'm not one to mock it, but kids are dying needlessly and for little more reason than they have a medical condition. Before you come at me with her hardships let me just toss this out.... MOM WAS AN EFFING MILLIONAIRE! You'd think there were still other routes than DEATH. Especially when you're loaded to the gills with money. Yes, I read the details of the case. She claims to have killed him to save him.... bullshit.
Alex Spourdalakis, autistic, 14 and brutally murdered in 2013. Lack of benefits and financial hardships seen as the trigger. While I refuse to excuse people for killing their children, there is a matter in dire need of attention. It is TRUE that proper services are lacking by way of lofty costs that put them out of reach for suffering families. Depending on the state you live in, you can be in a hard hard place. It can feel more lonely and desolate that the darkest pit of hell. So those in political power better start paying attention.
Fact is, there is a lot more than just families with disabled kids snapping and killing. Lack of jobs, lack of services, lack of assistance in education or medical, lack of respite assistance, lack of a living wage if you do have a damn job.... people are losing it out there. The common citizen is facing stressors that our day and age shouldn't be. Add disabilities to it and it seems to be pushed even further with these people. Like I said, I don't excuse them for it. I'm sickened by it.
When treatments and supports are where they are supposed to be, I've seen children brought back from the brink and given hope. Autism is not a reason to take a life. Not only does that message need to get pounded out clearly, but our system needs fixing at the same time.

Stupid Things on Anti-Vaccines
LANGUAGE WARNING
I realize this kind of language is not the norm for this blog, but this is a special situation. Just be warned.
For those who have been following my tiff on Facebook about the anti-vax propaganda, this should come as no surprise, especially with my recent experiences. I had no idea just how insane the anti-vaccine cult really is, but I got cold water introduction! So I'm going to be very candid and blunt here. Vaccines save lives and trying to abolish them WILL GET PEOPLE KILLED. Not that you can explain that to an anti-vaxxer. They have a one way mind that is immune to actual scientific fact. I can actually almost prove that.
Small recap: What started this for me was some yoyos telling me that I'm a traitor because I have autism and I'm not viciously anti-vaccine like they are. And frankly, I've had it with the ridiculous propaganda geared to misinform and fear monger people away from vaccines that keep deadly and disabling diseases at bay. And, of course, they can't leave well enough alone so this is what it comes to:
![]() |
Sounds good to me |
So I've done just that. I made memes and shouted from the rooftops and that sure got their attention (finally). I started out with a general message saying to just drop me, but that wasn't enough. Once I joined a pro-vaccine Facebook page though.... that brings me to stupid thing number 1:

OBSCURE EVIDENCE: That isn't evidence at all. It's all guilt by association coincidence. You show them a thousand pages of information that proves vaccines don't cause autism and they'll come up with an obscure sentence from the back of a cereal box that seems like it could support them if we lived in an alternate dimension. As soon as you point out the flaws in their supposed evidence they completely lose their shit (see Facebook image above).
BUT THE GOVERNMENT LIES! Yeah, sure they do. Oh, but HISTORY DOESN'T! Instead of hand picking a collection of snippets from propaganda papers, try going to a library and picking up and actual BOOK. They call out for us to do our research, we do, then they go nuts.
EBOLA: Let the insanity explode. I've had these people try to tell me that Ebola is airborne (BULLSHIT) or being used to cull the population (SUPER STEAMING BULLSHIT). But the big fave for me has to be this: according to the anti-vax crowd it may be caused by vaccines. Have you ever come across something so amazingly fucking stupid that you immediately raced across the room and put your head through the wall? It should be extremely painful to be that dumb.

Something has to be done. People are being scared into following this quackery and it's going to bring back some disease that will truly fuck people up. You want me to wake up? You first, nutbar.

Autism: Dissension in the Ranks
I’ve seen a lot of celebrity endorsements for one or another approach at handling autism. Green our Vaccines, Autism Speaks, Rethinking Autism and varied groups or advocates all have their own approach. They all have one inherent flaw holding back their progress. They all speak as if their way is the way to handle all forms of autism. There is no blanket approach to handling autism. That will not work and causes unrest in the autism community.
The best example so far is the divided lines with the organization Autism Speaks. Supporters of Autism Speaks want to see a cure for autism and support all medical studies make that happen. High functioning autistics see this as a par-racial erradication of their kind. Both sides have valid arguments. A cure of some kind could make non-function or low function autistics function for the first time. A child who previously could only rock in a corner, may go out to play and say “I love you, Mommy”. So why is this fight unrealistic? First of all no one can force a cure of any kind on anyone and it will likely be very expensive. So far they agree, that autism is not curable. It’s not even certain that all forms of autism can be detected before birth. Even then, only the most severe will likely be detected and that would leave out high functioning forms. While we all have the right to be heard and have a say in what’s going on, paranoid fear serves nothing. We should all support the idea of having kids able to run and play. We should also support what has contributed to some of the greatest minds in history.
Another example is the campaign to Green our Vaccines. I agree with what they are trying to do and believe that there are ways to avoid pumping mercury into our babies. Once again, this will do nothing for those who have a form of autism right from birth, having nothing to do with a vaccine. Unfortunately the message is delivered in such a way that it looks like this is what they are claiming. While autism is what caused these celebrities to start endorsing, it’s not accurate. They are against vaccine poisoning and autism is just one result of that. Generation Rescue, who invented the “Green our Vaccines” slogan is heavily endorsed by Jenny McCarthy. In one media event I saw her exclaim on stage that “autism can be cured!” and such a broad statement is laden with error. Once again, it may be that some forms of autism can be reduced or avoided, but certainly not all. And it bears repeating, there is no cure for autism. To make such a claim is very irresponsible and gives false hopes to millions.
We need to remember that autism is different in every person and that there are five forms and multiple causes. We need to support each other and be more understanding to the broad scale of the autistic community.
